SenseAway generates its own energy by energy scavanging, mainly by solar panels. Without any sunshine system can operate up to 60 days according to configuration and sensors installed thanks to its own batteries.

SenseAway transmits and receives small data packages in order to use communication infrastructures without needing broadband. So very weak GPRS signals can be reached with specialized high gain antennas.

Similar to monitoring, any kind of compatible sensor can be integrated to SenseAway. By design, system has proximity sensors and reed sensors. In addition, cameras can be integrated on system and can be triggered by sensors to record for a period of time.

V-Smart is a logic developed by Altyol for camera integration. Any kind of sensor according to the facility can actuate a high definition camera and a siren. Camera can record for a pre-determined time period and siren creates a detterency for intruder.

Both in hardware and software level SenseAway has its authorization mechanism. At the facility to log authorized access and maintenance there is an I-button reader. When an authorized person enters a facility this person has to have an registered I-button. Thanks to that logic any kind of activity can be logged on system and reported. On the other hand, any other authorization hardware like fingerprint sensor or pass-pad can be integrated to SenseAway.
